Community Involvement

Meet Jonathan Holiday
There are some people in this world who make you want to do better, and for us, that was Jonathan.
In the 18 years Jonathan was with us, Jonathan exemplified what it means to live life to the fullest. The youngest Holiday sibling faced every challenge he encountered with positivity, gratitude, and vivacity. Although Jonathan is no longer with us, we keep his spirit alive by working with charitable causes to create a better world for future generations.
Our Contributions
We’re proud supporters of local and international organizations that strive to make a difference in the communities they serve.
Education
One of our biggest initiatives has been to create education opportunities in the Democratic of Congo. The Jonathan Holiday School was inspired by Heather Haynes’ art and built in partnership with CanAssist Africa Relief Trust and Worlds Collide Africa. Today, the school provides free education and supplies to 384 students in grades 1 through 8. Please visit the Art of Courage site to learn more about the Jonathan Holiday school and donate to the cause.
Healthcare
During his time at Sick Kids, the Holiday family grew a deep appreciation for the level of care and compassion provided by healthcare professionals. Jonathan’s team inspired us to be more active in the healthcare community in hopes that our contributions would help other families get the best possible care. Over the past 20 years, we have fundraised and made personal donations to Sicks, Smithfalls Hospital, and other family-centric initiatives.
Sports
Jonathan loved sports, so in honour of his favourite pastimes, we also proudly support initiatives that bring people together to create positive memories. From endorsements, to donations, to tournaments, the Holiday family has played an active role in equipping teams with funding and opportunities. We have supported multiple teams in Mississauga and Brampton, as well as the girls and boys hockey.
